Make Your Best Impression Blog   ·   August 11, 2009

We have had all days where everything just seems to go right. We hit the traffic at the opportune moment, and drive straight to the office without delays. We pull into the parking lot just as a convenient parking space opens up for us. The people we’ve been trying to reach all week suddenly call or appear, and we’re able to wrap up our business with them with unusual efficiency. Our iced tea is cold and our soup is hot. The money comes out of nowhere for a project we want to start. Everything is in sync.

Since I’ve begun taking steps to simplify my life—both outer and inner—I’ve found synchronicity operates in all areas, and much more frequently than it did when my life was complicated. Over and over again, as soon as I’ve become clear on what it is I want, the circumstances I need to get it are miraculously available to me.

As I look back, I realize that before I slowed down, the messages and the possibilities for these synchronicities had always been there, but often I was too busy to pay attention to them, or didn’t believe them when I heard them.

This is not to say that everything is now a piece of cake for me. But I’ve learned that if things aren’t going well, I need to slow down and listen. When I get back into sync, things start to flow again.

Reducing your pace and looking within will help you make your life work the way you want it to. It will also expand your time and energy so that synchronicity becomes a natural and joyous part of your life.

If you like the idea of latching on to synchronicity, perhaps it’s time to make a formal declaration to yourself and the universe that this is what you want. It’s amazing what can happen when we simply declare ourselves in the game.
