As the Girl Turns
2009 Edition
Hello all or should I say y’all? This year has been filled with a lot of firsts for the Teague-Snider household. The year began with the anticipation of my first book, Professionally Polished, Business Etiquette Savvy for Today’s Competitive Market. This anticipation quickly led to frustration due to lack of follow through from my publisher. Needless to say, it has been an interesting lesson in the world of publishing. As of today, they are finished, properly edited and ready to ship.
Fortunately I was asked to participate in a joint venture with 12 other etiquette experts from around the globe on another book project Executive Etiquette Power. These books are a true resource and a project I am very proud of.
2009 was the year that Dallas became known as America’s Impression Engineer ®and a published author.
My speaking and training business is beginning to grow as more people witness my message and passion for helping to provide individuals the tools to be successful. My new radio endeavor will launch the week of January 4th. It will be a weekly show, focusing on women between the ages of 25 – 55. The show is called Purpose Without Limits, Empowering You to Reach Your True Potential. The show will focus on personal and professional issues that affect women. My main mission to impress to listeners that wherever you live in the world, you are unique, strong and beautiful- You are a Steel Magnolia!
Blessings continued this year as I was featured on the cover of Personal Excellence Magazine and also quoted in the New York Times. My monthly column in Rejuvenate Magazine is also a wonderful outlet for my message. As 2010 rolls around, I will also be featured in 4Love (a new Christian Magazine) as well as Positively Alabama. Those details are still in the formulation stage.
I also launched my blog www.thepowertosayyes.org to begin the dialog. You can go there to download a sample chapter of my book. My plan is to have it completed by the first quarter of 2010. This is the website and story reflecting around bipolar disorder and the challenges families face when dealing with such illnesses. If my personal story can help someone, then that is overall beauty that resulted from the years of pain. We all grow from our trials.
2010 will be a year of health and self-preservation in Jesus name. Tad and I both have been working so hard this year. 2010 is the year of the family, marriage and fun. Our two animals are just as nuts as ever and fit well within the family dynamic. We are all unique and strange in our own way.
Well, with that – I will end this update on the life and times of Dallas Teague Snider. Always thinking of my friends and family. Wishing you great happiness and joy in 2010.
Hugs and Kisses,
Dallas – Dee- De Anne
