What does it mean to be weightless? Perhaps you think about floating in water, traveling with the ebbs and flow of the tide. Maybe you think about being stress free. Can you imagine… wouldn’t that be wonderful? Well, we are living so therefore there will be stressful times in our lives. There are burdens and trials that come from time to time. You may be in a trial right now.
The truth is that how we handle these trials will have a tremendous affect on our well being and overall mental and physical health. Knowing Jesus is the first step in giving you the tools to get through the tough times. Even when we know the truth it is easy to get caught up in the day to day and lose focus on what we can do to be part of the solution.
Your List of Items to throw over-board:
1. You must get rid of wrong thinking.
Are you someone that focuses about what is wrong in your life? Is the glass half-empty through you lens? I encourage you to focus on what is right and you will be surprise how your world can change.
2. You must get rid of wrong attitudes.
What happens when you are around people who are complaining and playing the victim? If you are happy they can bring you down? Be sure to approach each day with gratitude and appreciation. You never know divine appointment is around the corner, especially when you thank God in advance.
3. You must get rid of wrong words.
What are you saying to yourself? Are you a winner? Yes, you have already won. Don’t allow the enemy to fill your mind full of negative self talk. Tell yourself you are a child of God.
4. You must get rid of wrong habits.
Doing the same thing but expecting different results has not helped you yet. In fact, some would say that is the definition to insanity. Actually I think it is just laziness. Make a commitment to do something good for you today. Treat your body with the respect it deserves. If you take care of it, it will take care of you.
5. You must get rid of wrong friends.
There is a saying “Show me your friends and I will show you your future.” If you question if someone is a wrong friend then perhaps that is a sign. Think about whom you want to eliminate and what you hope to become. Your future begins today!
6. You just get rid of unforgiveness.
Jesus says we must forgive. He does not give us the option. Forgiveness does not make an offense ok or right a wrong. Forgiveness is a choice. Only Christ can give you the strength to forgive and have the peace your desire. This is between you and God.
7. You must stop the negative self talk.
Let’s face it we are not perfect. It is not possible to be perfect no matter how we try, we will always fall short. We can however capitalize on our strengths and be our best self.
