Our car broke down Saturday on the way to the benefit Buffet concert at Gulf Shores. (Did I say it was raining cats and dogs as well? ) Gratefully my Aunt Connie lived closed by, picked us up, fed us and then took us to our condo. All the rental car placed were closed until Monday. We had a place that was walking distance, so we were blessed since we had no car.
Monday we had the car towed to the dealer in Mobile, and they worked us in due to the situation. It was a fuel pump, and they had the part on-site. I feel very fortunate that although it was a trying situation, so many people were kind and did their best to help in a bad situation.
I was very impressed with the way the city prepared for the crowd of over 30,000 people. When looking in the crowd you saw a sea of people. Everyone was there in the right spirit to support the Gulf Coast and to have a good time. There were no signs of inappropriate behavior from my point of view.
Believe me… we could have let it ruin the trip. Now we can see the humor and blessings along the way. It was an adventure!
Let me hear about your adventure. If you attended, what did you think of the event?
