Dr. Thomasyne Hill SmithDr. Thomasyne Hill Smith has over 15 years experience training professionals to work with our nation’s ever changing culturally diverse population. Her training as a speech-language pathologist and university teaching experience in cultural diversity has also led to national speaking engagements to organizations stressing communication, change and diversity among their members.

Thomasyne Hill Williams, Ed.D., CCC-SLP is a certified and licensed speech-language pathologist with over 20 years of experience working with individuals from birth to adult who exhibit varied communication disorders and/or differences. She has presented workshops and seminars locally and nationally on such topics as phonological awareness, classroom-based intervention (inclusion),  assessment, issues in diversity, and speech differences such as dialects and accents (regional and  foreign). Dr. Williams has trained speech-language pathologists, teachers and paraprofessionals in  issues regarding early intervention and children with speech and language disorders. Dr. Williams’  experience has also included working with college students and adults to improve their speech communication skills and modify their accents and/or dialects.

Dr. Williams is certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and licensed by the  Alabama Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiology. She is member of the Board of  Directors of the National Black Association for Speech-Language and Hearing, a member of the  American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. Dr. Williams is a member of the American Association of University Women and serves as the Past President for the state of Alabama.  Dr. Williams was chosen as a charter member of the Children’s Literacy Guild of Alabama and is now a  member of the Board of Directors. The Guild focuses on the illiteracy issues of children in the state of  Alabama. Dr. Williams is an Associate with Ethnic Communication Arts of St. Paul, MN.
